Built so you can relax

The microphone opens only inside an activity, and only after a parent has started one from the app. It is shut at every other moment, including while the box is sitting idle in a room with people talking in it.

What it hears goes to our servers to be turned into text, so the activity knows what was said. The audio is not kept. The text is used for the turn and discarded when the turn ends — the box does not build a record of things your child has said.

Each child’s first name, age and language settings; how far they have got in each activity; and a record of each session — who played, how long, and a one-line summary. That is what makes the next session pick up where the last one left off, and it is what you see in the app.

Nothing is sold, nothing is used for advertising, and there are no ads anywhere in the box or the app. The full detail is on the privacy page, which is the product’s own engineering document rather than a marketing summary of it.

Remove a child in the app and their profile and progress go with them. Unpair a box and it forgets the household. Ask us to delete the account and we delete it — the address is info@getjubbo.com, and a person reads it.

You set each child’s age when you add them, and it decides which activities are offered and how hard they are. A child is never asked to do the twelve-year-old version of anything because a sibling is in the room — in a shared round, the activity follows the youngest.
