How do I set up my Jubbo?

Plug Jubbo into power. After a few seconds the eyes come up and it starts broadcasting its own Wi-Fi network, called jubbo-setup. That network exists only so your phone can talk to the box directly; it has no internet behind it.

Open the Jubbo app and choose to set up a box. On most phones the app joins jubbo-setup for you. If yours asks, go to Settings, Wi-Fi, and join jubbo-setup with the password on your quick start card, then come back to the app.

The app will ask which Wi-Fi network the box should use and for its password. Pick your home network — it must be a 2.4 GHz one — and wait while the box joins. Your phone hops back to your normal network on its own.

Last, the app asks for the pairing code. Point your phone at the code on the box’s eyes, or type the six characters shown there. That claims the box to your household so nobody else can pair it.

Read the code off the eyes, not from anywhere else: an unpaired box generates a new one every time it restarts.
