JubboPre-order

Jubbo will not connect to Wi-Fi

Almost always one of three things, and the first is the most common by far.

Jubbo has a 2.4 GHz radio only. It cannot see a 5 GHz network at all, so if your router publishes both bands under one name, your phone may be on the 5 GHz half and offering the box a network it cannot join. Splitting the two into separate names, or making a 2.4 GHz guest network for the box, fixes this.

If the box joins and then keeps dropping, the signal where it sits is probably marginal. Jubbo streams audio continuously while it is talking, so it is less forgiving of a weak signal than a phone is. Moving it closer to the router, or off a metal shelf, usually settles it.

If the app says the password is wrong and you are sure it is not, try once more from a standing start: a join attempted while the box is still scanning can fail in a way that looks exactly like a wrong password.

The box will not connect to a network that needs you to accept terms on a web page — a hotel or office network, for example. There is no browser on it to accept them with.
